Two very similar nations were led by two very dissimilar leaders. The first believed that money, power and privilege is the root of all gratification, and sold his country to foreign interests no matter whatever the cost to his own kith and kin. The second believed that money is the root of all evil, did not even have a bank account, and laboured tirelessly for the good of his compatriots. The first slept badly, racked with guilt over his betrayal, and even presenting with heart complaints. The second slept badly, sick with worry that the first type of leaders - who greatly outnumbered the second type - would invade under some pretext and wipe out all the good he had done.
The first leader is mostly Churchill with a little bit of Blair thrown in. The second is Hitler, with a dash of Saddam Hussain and Slobodan Milosevic.
